These buildings are attached with a Fireproof adjoining door which meets the code for a rental unit.

Info about the Taller Segment called the ‘CARRIAGE HOUSE’

The Carriage House is not ready to be a ‘stand alone’ rental unit. However, it does have the wiring plumbing and framework to be so if someone wants to have a second family or a renter living in it as a separate residence.

History of the Carriage House:

The carriage house was built around 2010 and was built with the design of a 2 car garage, (it is built on a concrete slab) with a guest suite and bathroom on the back side on the main floor. Upstairs is a lovely open concept area with wide Attic trusses. It has h solid wood flooring, sunlights, and lots of lighting and pot lamps. Rustic custom made pine stairs lead up to this lovely space. We have used it as a living room, and a guest room.

Previously the main floor was converted into 2 bedrooms and now that our family has grown up they serve as storage rooms with an open living area that we use as TV room.

There are 2 entrances to the Carriage. French doors on the back that lead into the guest suite (We use it as an office). There is a side entrance, by the driveway, as well.

This building has a hot water tank and a full bathroom. The heat is electric wall unit. The water is not on the filtration system but it can be, with simple plumbing. The heat pump from the new house also has the capacity to add a 4th zone which can be integrated into the carriage house.

Of course it can always be converted back to a double garage.

There are lots of options for this building: Extra Revenue or Extra Family or Extra Car space or convert it into a shop.
